Our company began by simply cleaning tennis courts then expanding to contracting with private residences, homeowners associations, private clubs, and school districts. Due to customer demand, we expanded our services to refurbish tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and game courts. We began resurfacing concrete and asphalt courts, replacing windscreens, re-painting fences and light fixtures, repairing tennis net posts, and supplying court supplies. We perform the bulk of our business in the San Diego area as well as Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, Santa Luz, La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas, and Coronado. Our clientele grows with quality service and personable staff.
John Rupsic
After attending Kent State University, I moved from Cleveland, Ohio, hoping for a new opportunity in California. I began dabbling in construction and discovered a need for tennis court maintenance; I began securing contracts with local clubs and homeowners associations cleaning tennis courts. My business began growing too quickly, and I hired my first employee. With more time to grow my business, I acquired a Contractors A license and began building and refurbishing game courts. Match Point has grown into the largest tennis court maintenance company in Southern California, servicing over 400 courts monthly with three full-time employees. My responsibilities in the company include meeting with clients and overseeing every project from start to finish. I love what I do, the people I work with, and I feel fortunate to be a Cleveland boy with a thriving business in San Diego!
